Weather Obsessed!

Someone, once told me that if you want to know what the weather will be like, ask a farmer. As a tennis coach who works outdoors in the North of England all year round, I knew precisely what he meant.

Tennis coaches who work outdoors obsess about the weather. Hardly surprising given our living is dependent on it. I lose count of how many times I visit the Met Office website on a daily basis & yes it is pretty accurate, especially if you’re looking a couple of hours ahead of a lesson!

I do put undue store in the weather forecast & sometimes you are better off looking up to the sky & coming to your own conclusion. However, when accurate it can work in your favour as you can move lessons to a better part of the day. Having said that I always try to do the lessons if all possible. Tennis in the rain isn’t ideal but it does pay the rent & on that subject, I’ve got to go. Work beckons. It’s raining but what the heck, the kids love it!
